Nightguards and Mouthguards

Teeth Protection with Nightguards and Mouthguards in Vernon

We all know how important it is to protect our teeth. We brush them, we floss them and we see our dentist regularly for cleanings and checkups. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, our teeth can still be subject to wear and tear – especially if we grind or clench our teeth at night. That’s where Interior Denture Center’s quality nightguards and mouthguards come in great use in Vernon.

A nightguard is a custom-made, soft plastic appliance that you wear over your teeth at night to protect them from grinding or clenching. A mouthguard, on the other hand, is worn during sports or other activities where there is a risk of injury to the face or head and helps to protect the teeth, jaw and soft tissues of the mouth.

Who Should Wear Nightguards and Mouthguards?

If you grind your teeth at night, our denturist may recommend that you wear a nightguard to protect your teeth from damage. If you play contact sports, Interior Denture Center may also recommend that you wear a mouthguard. In addition, if you have temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, wearing a nightguard can help to reduce stress on the jaw joint and alleviate symptoms.

Nightguards and mouthguards are an important part of protecting our teeth. If you think you may need any of these wearables, be sure to talk to our denturist about them. We will be able to help you find the right product for your needs and ensure that it fits properly.
